Brokerslink bolsters presence in African market with ‘huge potential’
Global broking business Brokerslink has added three new African affiliates to its global network, growing its presence in Africa to 39 of the 54 countries in the continent.
The new affiliates are YOA from Nigeria, LG Conseil from The Republic of Congo and TIB Insurance Brokers from Zimbabwe.
YOA from the Nigerian capital Lagos offers a range of broking specialisms, including energy, commercial, retail and reinsurance. The brokerage employs over 100 people and also provides a number of ancillary services, such as risk consulting, loss adjusting and employee benefits.
In The Republic of Congo LG Conseil provides travel, school, car, home and a number of other lines of insurance broking. Its mission is to support individuals and businesses in managing and mitigating costly incidents before and after they occur, focusing on risk prevention.
TIB Insurance Brokers from Zimbabwe, a broker with offices in Harare and Bulawayo, provides a wide variety of personal and commercial broking services. These range from home, motor and life, through to several commercial products, including marine, engineering, bank guarantees, insurance bonds and trade finance facilities.
These new affiliates follow the addition to the network earlier in the year of four others, from Algeria, Ethiopia, Libya and Réunion and underline Brokerslink’s growing strength in depth in the continent.
Anne Collette, business development & partnerships director at Brokerslink, commented: “Brokerslink has a considerable and relevant presence in the African insurance market with affiliates in 39 countries. This market has huge potential and we are in a strategically important position, through our local expert partners and affiliates to enable growth, increase insurance penetration and help boost local economies through risk mitigation and transfer.”
