Broker NFP plucks Lockton vet to build-out mid-market Canadian ops

Property & casualty broker  NFP plucked a former broker and Lockton alternative distribution guru to build out the group's Canadian broker operations.

Emily Horsman (pictured) will join  NFP as head of Canadian National Broking to follow her stint as vice president of alternative distribution at Lockton, the latest leg in a twenty-year career. Prior to this, she served as vice president, broker for Willis Towers Watson. She worked in a variety of broker and underwriting roles for Aon Reed Stenhouse and ACE INA Insurance.

Horsman will lead efforts in building  NFP's national broking platform in Canada alongside Canadian broking and business line leaders and underwriting partners. Horsman will report to Mark Wiens, head of Commercial Insurance for  NFP in Canada.

Wiens commented: “This hire reflects our firm commitment in continuing to execute on our North American P&C strategies. Emily is a thoughtful and influential leader. She will concentrate on our growing mid-market P&C business, while providing support across our Small and Midsize Enterprise and Complex Risk Solution teams.”
