BMS lures ‘exceptional talent’ from Ardonagh for C-suite role
Specialist re/insurance broker BMS has hired an “exceptionally talented” financial expert, previously employed in influential positions at Ardonagh, RFIB and Aon, to serve as its UK and international business CFO.
Morna Leather (pictured) has been appointed chief financial officer of UK and international for BMS, taking effect in summer 2023. Based in London, Leather will report to Nick Moss, group finance director of BMS.
With more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, Leather joins BMS from her most recent position as chief financial officer of Ardonagh Global Partners. Previously, she held several senior roles at RFIB including chief financial officer and head of corporate strategy, head of finance projects at Aon Benfield, and a senior manager at PwC.
She will provide support to BMS’ UK CEO Ian Gormley and international CEO Nick Gillett in their respective roles.
Moss said: “Morna is an exceptionally talented finance professional and brings a wealth of experience to BMS. We’re proud to welcome someone of her calibre to our team. Her insight, strong interpersonal skills and deep understanding of the industry will assist us in maintaining the smooth running of our business. We are confident that Morna's contributions will help ensure that we continue to grow and thrive as a leading global broker."
Leather commented: “BMS’ growth over the past few years has been nothing short of impressive. I am greatly looking forward to supporting Ian, Nick and the wider team during this period of expansion. It is clear to me that BMS’ success is rooted not only in its insurance expertise but also in its commitment to fostering a strong and positive company culture. I am excited to be able to bring my knowledge and experience to help in achieving continued success for BMS.”
