BMS Group names Gallagher exec as CEO of Australia
Specialist re/insurance broker BMS Group has appointed Andrew Godden as chief executive officer (CEO) of Australia. He will be based in Sydney, and report directly to BMS CEO Nick Cook.
Godden co-founded Specialist Broking Associates in 2003, and since its purchase by Arthur J Gallagher in 2010, he has been the CEO of Australia for the combined business.
Godden’s appointment will take effect upon the expiration of his contractual obligations to Arthur J Gallagher, according to the statement.
With the new hire, the company plans to further enhance its reach in Australia and across the Asia Pacific region.
Cook commented: "BMS has been building its reputation in Australia and the wider Asia Pacific and I’m delighted that the entrepreneurial culture we have created has allowed us to attract an individual of Andrew Godden’s calibre.
"Andrew shares our belief in an employee-owned business with an absolute focus on high quality customer service, which will be invaluable as we expand our reach right across the region."
