BMS boosts reinsurance services with senior hires
Specialist re/insurance broker BMS has made two senior hires to help the firm expand its reinsurance services.
Norman Wiltshire and Nick Titcomb will join BMS as directors of its BMS Strategic Risk Solutions (SRS), the company’s specialty re/insurance division.
Wiltshire, who retired from Aon, will help expand BMS’ London Market reinsurance offering. And Titcomb will take up a dual role to develop the US and London markets marine reinsurance business. He will also work closely with the fast developing US-based production team.
Both men will take up their roles after completing existing contractual obligations. This will be July 2020 for Wiltshire and October 2020 for Titcomb. They will report to Hannah Watkins, managing director at BMS SRS.
Wiltshire began his career at a Lloyd’s syndicate, spending time at CE Heath and CT Bowring. He played a key role in the development of the Benfield non marine London Market team. Including his time at Aon, Wiltshire has 50 years of market experience.
Titcomb is a specialist in the US marine reinsurance with more than 40 years of experience in the re/insurance market. Prior to joining BMS he has held the role of senior vice president at Marsh since 2017, where he focused on the US and London reinsurance markets as well as fixed price P&I facilities.
Commenting on the appointments, Watkins said: “We continue to hire like-minded individuals that share our belief that personalised service and advice is key for our client base. This forms part of our specialty reinsurance and retro strategies alongside our continued overall investment in the US and London. Nick’s expertise complements an already successful marine reinsurance team and Norman’s experience is second to none. We very much look forward to welcoming both Norman and Nick to the team later this year.”
