BMS boosts financial lines unit with hire from Ryan Specialty Group
Specialist re/insurance broker BMS Group has bolstered its financial lines team in Latin America & the Caribbean with a senior hire from Ryan Specialty Group.
David Overton has joined as a director, reporting to Daniel Court. He will be based in Miami.
Overton has 21 years’ experience of placing and underwriting complex risks across a broad spectrum of classes. He has worked as a broker at several London broking houses, including Integro, and as an underwriter for international financial lines business at Barbican Syndicate 1955 and Allianz Global & Corporate Specialty (AGCS). Most recently, he served as head of sales at EmergIn Risk (Ryan Specialty Group) in its Miami office, offering cyber to Latin American and Caribbean clients.
Court said: “BMS is a recognised expert broker in Financial Lines in Latin America & the Caribbean. David’s strong background in cyber liability insurance allows us to offer our clients an additional advisory service in this market segment as well, providing access to premium Financial Lines/Cyber cover and top notch broking capabilities.”
