Berkshire’s BHSI nabs ‘exceptional claims leaders’ from AXA XL in Europe

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway, has bolstered its claims leadership in Germany with three new appointments. The move is aimed at improving the company’s abilities in the DACH region.

Sandra Leyendecker (pictured right), with over 20 years of industry experience, has been promoted to the position of head of casualty claims at BHSI. She originally joined the company in 2022 as a senior casualty claims examiner, having previously spent more than 15 years at AXA XL.

Ingo Lorber has joined BHSI as head of property claims. He has nearly 30 years of industry experience, most recently customising claims handling for major claims at a global insurer.

Michael Brobach (pictured left) has been named head of executive & professional lines claims. He comes to BHSI from AXA XL where he held increasingly senior positions managing financial lines claims for nearly 15 years.
