Beazley hires former Willis and Zurich execs in US
Specialist insurer Beazley has hired new underwriters its US underwriting team focused on small to mid-sized business (SMEs), and regional sales manager in the accident and health division.
David Milner has been appointed in the Dallas office; Lauren Brown in Los Angeles, and Todd Simms as regional sales manager covering the Florida market.
Milner joins from The Hartford, where he was an executive underwriter focused on middle market business in the Dallas metro area. Prior to that, he held positions for Zurich and CNA in Texas.
Also joining Beazley's US private enterprise team, Brown has moved from Momentous Insurance Brokerage, where she was an account executive focused on media and management liability risks. Before that she was an associate broker with Worldwide Facilities.
The firm has also expanded its US accident and health insurance sales team with the addition of Simms, who previously worked as a senior sales representative for Cigna Group Insurance. Prior to that, he was a broker for USI Insurance Services and Willis.
Jamie Orye, Beazley's team leader for private enterprise, said: "We're excited to expand the footprint of our local underwriters with the addition of Lauren and David.
