Beazley adds Western Union CFO to board

Specialist insurer  Beazley has bolstered its board of directors with the appointment of Western Union chief financial officer Raj Agrawal.

Agrawal joins Beazley as a non-executive director and as a member of the audit and risk committee with effect from  August.

Agrawal is currently serving as chief financial officer of The Western Union Company (WU) which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange. He is based in the US, which is one of the Company's largest markets and has worked extensively in Europe and across the world during his tenure at WU.

Beazley's chairman David Roberts said: "I am delighted to welcome Raj to the board of Beazley plc. Raj's deep global financial and operational experience will augment the board's skills in specific areas of strategic focus."
