Beach poaches Marsh SVP for new London wholesale practice
Re/insurance broking and advisory firm Beach & Associates has hired Marsh's Jonathan Tritton as senior vice president of its newly formed London wholesale practice.
Tritton will join in December from Marsh where he led the initiative to secure new products and coverage for Marsh & McLennan Agency, Marsh’s middle market retail network, as well as Victor Group, Marsh’s managing general underwriter subsidiary.
Tritton will fulfil a similar role at Beach, the company said. Beach was purchased by Acrisure in March this year.
Tritton will be based in London and will report to John Sutton, president and head of Beach Wholesale.
Sutton commented: “Jonathan brings a significant breadth of experience across a range of classes and placement strategies. He will bring an extra dimension to our service capabilities as we look to provide our Acrisure Partners with the products and market access that their rapidly growing network demands.
"In addition, Jonathan will also use his extensive knowledge of the US market to bring in new clients in the Portfolio and Wholesale teams to broaden and strengthen our market presence in this area of our London business.”
Tritton said: “I am delighted to be joining the Beach Wholesale team at such an exciting time in their evolution. The insurance value chain is changing, and Beach are uniquely placed to exploit this change via Acrisure, their independent Partner network, through to their long standing expertise in the placement of MGAs, consortia and reinsurance.”
Shane Doyle CEO of Beach Specialty added: “Jonathan highlights the excellent level of talent that we can attract as a truly independent (Re)insurance broker. We brought in John Sutton, Toby Humphreys and Simon Haggas to build a truly first-class London Wholesale operation and I’m thrilled in the interest we are receiving in the market to join what is such an exciting and dynamic opportunity.
"We will continue to recruit specialist talent wanting to join what is an exciting opportunity in a growing business. In the current changing environment, Beach and Acrisure provide a unique private and dynamic environment for entrepreneurial talent to thrive and succeed.”
