AXIS names vice president of commercial management
Specialty insurer AXIS Capital has appointed Mark Paccione as vice president of commercial management solutions (CMS) at AXIS Insurance.
Based in New York, Paccione will continue to be part of the CMS team, which specialises in commercial public and private directors and officers employment practices, fiduciary liability and crime products.
He will report directly to John Van Decker, president of North American professional lines for AXIS Insurance.
Paccione has 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, having most recently served as senior vice president with AXIS Insurance, leading its northeast region for CMS over the past five years.
Prior to this, he held establish the commercial management liability group at Everest Re. He spent 18 years at Chubb & Son in various management and executive roles.
Van Decker said: “Mark is an experienced leader with a broad background and proven track record in professional liability insurance. He brings a unique combination of management, underwriting and distribution knowledge necessary to navigate in a challenging market. We are confident in the strength and depth of the CMS team, and believe that under Mark’s leadership, the team will continue to thrive.”
