AXIS Capital launches integrated liability offer for US manufacturers

AXIS Capital has launched a new integrated offer to cover the environmental and general liability risks associated with the facilities, products and pollution risks for US-based manufacturers.

The group’s environmental unit has launched the specialty package policy to cover exposures
associated with the full manufacturing and logistics process, as well as waste storage, treatment, and disposal. The longer list covers product liability, pollution liability, emergency response costs, product recall and excess liability options.

The new policy is available for US-based manufacturing and distribution operations with revenues up to $2 billion.

AXIS recently hired Tom Kashickey to act as lead underwriter for environmental liability as part of a broader effort to build a dedicated team to support new products.

“This new, expanded environmental offering is part of our broader effort to provide enhanced capabilities and innovation to the specialty market,” AXIS’s EVP for environmental Rich Zarandona said. “Manufacturers and distributors face a multifaceted risk environment and it’s therefore essential that the sophistication of their insurance coverage matches the complexity of their risk.”
