Aviva head of cyber makes big switch to Lloyd’s of London

UK insurer  Aviva’s head of cyber insurance is leaving the firm to take on a newly created role at  Lloyd’s of London.

“After over three wonderful years at Aviva, I have been given an opportunity that I could not turn down,” announced Neil Arklie on LinkedIn.

Arklie joined Aviva in August 2018 from AXIS Capital where he served as vice president of financial lines, and lead underwriter for its London-based international cyber insurance unit. In this role, he led a team of underwriters focused on writing cyber, media, film and television, and technology coverage for AXIS insurance’s international division.

Prior to that, he worked for over 13 years with reinsurer Swiss Re in various roles, most recently as senior cyber and technology product manager. Earlier in his career, Arklie served as a senior underwriter for a decade at property/casualty insurer Chubb Europe.
