Australian insurer Honan reshuffles key leadership in new strategy
Honan Insurance Group made a number of leadership changes prompted by its decision to revise company strategy targeting growth in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.
The company has announced a new strategic direction, that includes the significant addition of a technology division which will sit under the guidance of Nathaniel Barrs as the new group chief technology officer.
Andrew Fluitsma has been appointed group managing director and chief broking officer, responsibility for six distinct sales and service business units including global and corporate, strata and real estate, partnerships, risk consulting, risk smart and employee benefits.
As the new group chief operating officer (COO), Brad Tymmons will manage a number of departments including finance, legal, HR, marketing, compliance, business planning and administration. He will be responsible for delivering the strategic plan.
Damien Honan will retains his position as the chief executive officer of Honan Insurance Group.

“Our new strategy focuses on four key pillars; client value, operational excellence, new technologies, and data and analytics. We believe these pillars, along with our focus on service, will allow us to remain at the forefront of building exceptional client experiences in the insurance industry."
