Aston Lark snares Marsh exec to drive Incepta’s London market P&C growth
Aston Lark, the chartered insurance broker backed by Goldman Sachs, has hired a new director for wholesale broking, its Lloyd’s wholesale broker.
Robert Beere is a Lloyd’s and London market broker specialising in property and package business. He joins from JLT/Marsh, where he has spent the past 15 years, most recently as regional director for London market risks. Before that he spent four years as a property insurance broker for Aon.
In his new role Beere is responsible for growing Incepta’s London market property and casualty business, both in terms of supporting the group’s own placement requirements and expanding third-party wholesale broker distribution.
Incepta was acquired by Aston Lark in August 2020. It specialises in providing property, casualty and professional indemnity solutions in the London market to regional brokers, with a focus on high service standards and market expertise.
Aston Lark has been building up its London Market presence, especially in property, casualty and terrorism.
Stuart Rootham, Aston Lark group managing director, said: “As part of our overall growth vision, Aston Lark has significant ambitions for our London market capability. It’s an important pillar of our offering and we will continue to hire experienced talent and seek further acquisitions to build on the expertise and strength already provided by Incepta, Brunel Professions and Protean Risks.”
