Aspen appoints new US distribution head to tap into opportunities
Aspen Insurance Holdings has appointed a new distribution head for the US business as it looks to tap into new opportunities in the market.
Caryn Brough (pictured) has been named head of marketing and US distribution. She is currently group head of marketing.
In her expanded role, Brough will lead the company's distribution strategies. She will work with trading partners to represent Aspen in the US for all business segments, fostering communication and partnership, and will work closely with the underwriting teams on comprehensive distribution strategies.
Brough has been with Aspen since 2017 and has led its re-branding efforts that launched in 2021. Aspen said her efforts were in line with the company’s transformation and plans for the future to drive market positioning.
Brough will report to Jonny Atkinson, group chief business development officer, who said: “I’m pleased that Caryn has accepted to lead our U.S. distribution. Throughout her tenure, she has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional results and building strong relationships. With her ability to identify market opportunities, combined with strong analytical skills, she is just the natural candidate to take this role to the next level.”
Bruce Eisler, chief executive officer, of US and chief underwriting officer, of insurance, said: “I truly look forward to working with Caryn in this role and have every confidence she will successfully lead our U.S. distribution efforts, continue to foster strong relationships with our partners, and drive sustainable growth for the company.”
Brough commented: “I am excited to take on this expanded responsibility. I look forward to working even more closely with our talented teams and partners to further strengthen our market presence and deliver exceptional solutions to our clients”.
