ArgoGlobal makes key casualty hires from Chaucer and QBE
ArgoGlobal, a Lloyd’s insurer and member of Argo Group, has bolstered its casualty division with senior hires from Chaucer Syndicates and QBE.
Geoffrey Bull joins the company as casualty treaty underwriter. He has 17 years of underwriting and actuarial experience. He joins from Chaucer Syndicates, where he served as class underwriter – international casualty and specialty treaty.
In this role, he was tasked with underwriting reinsurance business across all non-property and non-marine lines of business. Bull also held actuarial roles at Chaucer Syndicates, PWC and Swiss Re.
Jaime Garcia-Anton Lopez has been appointed as professional indemnity (PI) underwriter. He has 18 years of industry experience in Lloyd’s and the European specialty insurance market. He joins from QBE, where he served as PI underwriter in the European division. Prior to this position, he held the role of PI underwriter at HCC Europe.
Bull will report to Stuart Dale, international casualty treaty class underwriter, and Lopez to James McPartland, PI class underwriter.
