Argo Group replaces CFO Bullock with Aspen's Kirk

Bermuda-based re/insurer Argo Group International Holdings has appointed Aspen's Scott Kirk as new chief financial officer (CFO), effective from March 1.

He succeeds Jay Bullock as principal financial officer and principal accounting officer. Bullock will remain with Argo as an advisor through March-end to ensure a smooth transition.

Kirk joins Argo from Aspen Insurance Holdings, where he served as chief financial officer from 2014 to April 2020. Prior to that, he served in several senior finance roles from 2007 to 2014, including as chief financial officer of Aspen’s insurance business.

Before Aspen he worked at Endurance Specialty Holdings between 2002 and 2007, holding several senior finance roles, and at Trenwick International in London, in finance and treasury roles.

Kirk began his career as an auditor at KPMG in Brisbane and is a member of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants in both England and Wales and Australia.
