Argenta poaches specialist financial/professional lines/casualty team
Lloyd's authorised managing agency Argenta Syndicate Management, a subsidiary of Argenta Holdings – a subsidiary of Hannover Re - has recruited a team of experienced underwriters to develop a book of casualty business on behalf of its managed Syndicate 2121 with a significant quota share from SPA 6134. They are expected to attract gross written premium of circa £130 million in 2020.
The team, led by Bradley Knight and supported by a further five class underwriters, has many years’ experience within the Lloyd’s Market. Knight will report to active underwriter Ian Maguire.
The team joins ASML from Vibe Syndicate Management where it underwrote a portfolio of financial institutions, professional indemnity, North American specialty and casualty treaty business. The team of 15 includes senior class underwriters Hugh Sprowson, Andy Palmer, Matt Waghorn, Ken Rowlands and Duncan King.
