Arch taps Newpoint director to expand warranty & affinity portfolio

Arch Insurance International, part of Bermuda-based re/insurer  Arch Capital Group, has tapped a 20-year warranty & affinity specialist with experience in both the Lloyd’s and company markets to help expand its offering in this space.

Richard Smith (pictured) joins Arch in London as senior warranty & specialty affinity underwriter.

He will support the expansion of its warranty & specialty affinity portfolio across a broad range of warranty, creditor and added value ancillary products.

Smith most recently was a director at Newpoint Insurance Brokers having joined the company in 2007. Prior to that, he was a senior risk and pricing analyst at Advent Solutions Management and began his insurance career at Domestic and General.
