Arch Insurance expands travel unit with new hires
Arch Insurance, a part of Bermuda-based Arch Capital Group, has expanded its travel business unit with the appointment of Cory Sobczyk and Dan Povondra as vice presidents of business development, and Lynn Barty as regional sales director.
The executives will work with the insurer's travel sales team, including Greg Johnson, who joined Arch Insurance earlier this year, in further building out the business unit’s distribution strategy.
Sobczyk and Povondra will report to Linda Fallon, senior vice president of Travel.
"We are excited to add Dan, Cory and Lynn to our team at a time when the industry is seeing overall expansion and shifts in the competitive landscape," said Fallon. "Their decades of experience and demonstrated business development success will help to further strengthen our market position and that of our Arch Insurance Solutions and RoamRight brands."
Sobczyk added: "Speaking on behalf of my colleagues, we are excited to join Arch with the goal of driving growth in our target channels by leveraging the integrated platform of underwriting, claims administration and customer service. The Travel group’s impressive growth is a testament to their comprehensive product offering and superior customer service strategy."
Arch entered the travel insurance industry in 2012 with its service distribution company Arch Insurance Solutions (AIS).
