Applied Surety swoops on Crum & Forster for new leader
Applied Surety Underwriters has hired two new leaders, a chief underwriting officer and senior vice president, from Crum & Forster Insurance Agency to support its future growth and expansion.
Ronald Diggs, Jr. (Pictured Left) joins as chief underwriting officer, and Alfred Wright (Pictured Right) as senior vice president.
Diggs Jr., who previously served as CUO for Crum & Forster, will focus on creative and innovative risk selection to support a growing and profitable expansion for Applied Surety Underwriters specialty contract segment.
Wright will leverage extensive industry connections to build out and launch a specialty contract surety segment for target programmes falling under a $5 million single / $10 million aggregate range.
Prior to joining Applied Surety, Wright was senior vice president at Crum & Forster Insurance Agency, heading its surety practice area. From 2011 to 2015 he was a senior vice president, surety practice, for Endurance American Insurance Company.
