Aon unveils new US marine practice leader
Re/insurance broker Aon has promoted Patrick O’Neil to US marine practice leader as Bill Penn moves to the role of chairman after six years of leading the practice.
In his new position, O’Neil will work in concert with Penn during the transition, and report directly to Brian Wanat.
He will be responsible for developing innovative solutions for clients across the globe.
O’Neil comes into this role with over 27 years of experience in the marine insurance industry. As Aon’s marine hull and liability leader in the US, he was previously responsible for the growth of the department.
In prior roles, O’Neil was responsible for the design, placement and handling of medium to large risk management programs, predominantly for marine industry companies.
