Aon shuffles UK commercial risk leadership to drive growth
Global re/insurance broker Aon has revealed a new leadership line-up for its UK commercial risk business.
James Baum (Pictured Left), previously head of UK commercial risk and Aon’s global broking centre, will take up a new role as head of wholesale and specialty broking, with Jane Kielty (Pictured Right) becoming the head of commercial risk UK.
Baum will continue to lead the global broking centre in London and be responsible fordelivering cohesive broking strategies across all the international wholesale markets.
Kielty will be focused on bringing together all delivery parts of commercial risk in the UK to further improve service and capability for clients across the country. Kielty will retain her UK chief commercial officer responsibilities until a successor is appointed, a process for which is currently underway.
Both appointments are subject to approval from the Financial Conduct Authority.
In their new roles, Baum and Kielty will work closely together to build alignment across both retail and wholesale broking, to improve delivery of solutions and capability for clients, and to optimise results for them when accessing the London, Specialty and UK markets.
Both Baum and Kielty remain members of Aon’s UK leadership team, focused on driving growth and delivering solutions for clients through its Aon United strategy.
Julie Page, chief executive officer UK for Aon, said: “Both James Baum and Jane Kielty are incredibly experienced leaders with vast expertise in delivering risk solutions for clients and business success. I know that they will bring their knowledge and skills together to shape our broking strategies and develop new products and proposition for our clients, helping them to make better decisions.”
