Aon's broking chief Fitzgerald quits to start 'new chapter' after 27 years
Tom Fitzgerald, the chief executive of Aon Broking, is leaving the company after 27 years of service to start the "next chapter" in his career.
Prior to his role as CEO of Aon's broking unit, Fitzgerald led the US commercial risk and health businesses. Aon has said that he will immediately transition his responsibilities, and that the firm is not looking to replace his role.
Greg Case, chief executive officer of Aon, said: “Tom is a global thinker with a proven track record of industry-leading innovation. The firm recognises his many years of service and wishes him well as he begins the next chapter of his career.”
Fitzgerald said: “It has been an absolute privilege to serve Aon for over 27 years. I began my professional career at Aon and the firm has left an indelible mark on me. I’m grateful for the partnership from colleagues and clients around the world, and energized by the idea of starting the next chapter of my career.”
