Aon partners with insurtech Claim Central in claims innovation strategy
Re/insurance Aon has formed a strategic alliance with insurtech firm Claim Central to digitise and streamline its claim management capabilities, and drive innovation.
Claim Central has developed a digital ecosystem, including live video streaming, aerial imagery, real-time chat, customer sentiment measures, and digital payments, specifically for property and casualty (P&C) insurers' claims adjusting and repair requirements. It is said to have helped organisations following Hurricanes Harvey and Irma when loss adjuster resources were scarce in Florida.
Claim Central is also opening an innovation center in Jacksonville, Florida aimed at decreasing insurers' technology and services burden and providing them with opportunities for claims innovation. It will also provides a live insurance environment in which new-to-market features and functionality can be tested, and special projects for insurer clients can be conducted without any regular business interruption.
“Aon is committed to helping clients navigate the Insurtech ecosystem and adopt new technologies that advance their strategic initiatives,” said Andy Marcell, CEO of Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions business. “Claim Central is utilising technology to make a meaningful impact in the area of claims management, and this is increasingly important for our re/insurer clients as they manage volatility following another active year for global natural disasters.”
Brian Siemsen, global CEO of Claim Central, said: “Our goal with the Aon partnership and the opening of our Innovation Center is to make claims transformation and innovation easier for insurers and reinsurers. This is an opportunity for Aon’s clients and Claim Central’s other insurer customers to concentrate more fully on maximising operations and reaping the full benefit offered by new Insurtech.”
