Aon lifts Scandinavian talent to EMEA operational leadership

Global brokerage group  Aon lifted leadership out of its Scandinavian units to oversee its full EMEA operations as chief operating officer for the region.

Allan Karlsen, with Aon since 2015, is also chairman of the board at Aon Norway and Aon Finland and a member of the Board at Aon Sweden in addition to an interim role as CEO of Aon Denmark, a post he will retain.

Karlsen previously worked for GE Consumer Finance as CEO for Denmark and in leadership roles for GE Insurance's spin-off, Genworth in addition to roles in private equity, technology, media and telecom industries.

Aon’s CEO of EMEA Eduardo Dávila commented: “Allan possesses extensive knowledge in the areas of operational efficiency, process optimization and client service excellence. As CEO of Aon Denmark, he has sponsored several growth initiatives and works with several clients, allowing him to also bring a strong client perspective to this new role.”
