Aon finds 'ideal' CBO to drive EMEA broking strategy
Re/insurance broker Aon has appointed a new chief broking officer for the EMEA region, excluding the UK.
Based in Madrid, Tracie Thompson (pictured) will now be responsible for leading the Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) broking team and strategy.
Thompson will report to Hugo Wegbrans, global chief broking officer, and Eduardo Dávila, CEO of commercial risk, health and affinity in EMEA (excluding UK).
Thompson has been with Aon for over 15 years having previously been part of Aon’s Enterprise Client Group. Prior to that role, she was a managing director for Aon Inpoint and during her time at Aon has worked in the Asia Pacific, the UK and North American regions.
Hugo Wegbrans, global chief broking officer at Aon, said: “Tracie’s proven track record of building strong client relationships alongside her experience across the Aon network makes her the ideal person to drive our EMEA broking strategy. I look forward to working alongside Tracie to strengthen Aon’s broking offering in the EMEA region.”
