Aon appoints new chief operations officer
Re/insurance broker Aon has appointed John Bruno to the position of chief operations officer (COO) with immediate effect.
"I am energized by the opportunity to make it easier for our colleagues to create value for our clients and align business operations to create further capacity for growth,” Bruno said. “We are committed to bringing the full power of Aon to each of our clients and view the integration of our global business operations as critical to that goal."
Bruno will continue to have the responsibility for Aon's technology organisation in his new role. He joined Aon in 2014 as the executive vice president of enterprise innovation and chief information officer.
Greg Case, president and CEO said: "We are constantly looking for ways to make it easier and more compelling for clients to expand their relationship with Aon. John has substantially enhanced the manner in which we leverage technology to create value for our clients and I am confident he will find similar, innovative ways to improve our global business operations."
Prior to joining Aon, Bruno held various senior leadership roles in corporate development, field operations and information technology at NCR, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch & Co., Symbol Technologies, and Cisco Systems.
