Antares head of specialty steps down; successor revealed
Antares, the Lloyd’s platform of QIC Global, has appointed Martin Campbell as head of specialty at Antares Syndicate 1274.
Campbell succeeds John Taylor, who is stepping down from the role and will be leaving the business.
Campbell has over 30 years of experience in the insurance market and has been head of financial institutions at Antares since March 2019. He joined from The Channel Syndicate, where he was head of financial lines and one of the founding partners. Prior to that, he was head of financial institutions and directors & officers insurance at Newline Group. Campbell started his career at Lloyd’s in 1990 as an underwriter.
Campbell will report to Alexander Craggs, active underwriter at Antares.
Joe Battle, CEO of Antares, said: “With the dedicated operational and financial backing of QIC Global, we are strategically expanding our specialty offering. Martin has been instrumental to our growth in the financial institutions area and his wealth of experience in the Lloyd’s market and collaborative managerial approach ensures we continue to provide our clients with the effective, quality underwriting for which we are known. I would also like to thank John for the great work he has done during his time here, and we wish him continued success in all his future endeavors.”
Campbell added: “I am very much looking forward to taking on the role of head of specialty at Antares as the business embarks on the next stage of our strategic expansion. Antares’ consistent dedication to excellence is exemplary in the Lloyd’s market and we see a number of key opportunities for specialty growth. I look forward to contributing to this next stage in the development of the business.”
