AmTrust hires A&H lead underwriter from Lloyd's MGA Vibe
AmTrust International, the UK and international arm of New York-based insurer AmTrust Financial Services, has hired Steve Ranzetta as lead underwriter for accident & health (A&H).
Ranzetta has more than 30 years’ experience in the UK and international A&H markets. He Joins AmTrust from Lloyd's managing agent Vibe Syndicate 5678, where he was responsible for establishing and growing the A&H division.
Prior to that, he was class underwriter, A&H at Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Underwriting at Lloyd’s, Syndicate 3210 and before that, assistant vice president, UK & Ireland accident & health manager at Chubb Insurance Company of Europe. In 2018, he was elected to the Lloyd’s Market Association’s (LMA) Personal Accident Committee.
In his new role, Ranzetta will lead the A&H underwriting team for the specialty business unit within AmTrust International. He will also be responsible for managing the portfolio in line with the specialty business plans to grow a sustainable and customer-focussed business.
