Allied World adds drones services to risk management offerings
Swizerland-based property and casualty re/insurer Allied World Assurance Company Holdings has included drones services to expand its risk management offerings.
Allied World North America will offer policyholders access to discounted unmanned aerial systems (UAS) services through DataWing, a UAS service provider led by former US Air Force fighter pilots.
Joseph Cellura, president of Allied World North American casualty division, said: "We are very pleased to partner with DataWing to bring these new loss control services to our customers."
"Our policyholders are using drones in so many innovative ways to improve efficiency and enhance their businesses. These new services will help them create sound risk management programs to meet the necessary safety and compliance standards," Cellura added.
DataWing, a specialist in aviation management, assists companies monitor the costs and benefits of operating a drone programme, determine the best way to incorporate or maintain a successful programme, stay informed on the latest FAA regulations as well as the UAS hardware and software, develop flight plans and deploy drones.
