Allianz creates new digital claims role in automation push
Allianz Insurance has appointed Shelley Hughes to the newly created position of digital claims propositions manager.
Shelley will lead the development of a multi-channel, data driven claims proposition to enhance Allianz’s customer journey. She will be responsible for bringing digital innovations and techniques to the business in order to meet the changing expectations of the customer in the future.
Having joined Allianz in 2002, Hughes has held a number of roles within the business including claims data and insight team leader. She has also led data projects and most recently spent six months at Allianz Group in Munich working on automation strategy.
Allianz’s head of claims strategy and customer experience, Margaret Scott, said: “As part of our fit for future strategy we are constantly looking at ways that we can continue to improve and strengthen our claims function.
“Shelley has a wealth of experience in data and digital strategies. I’m very confident that her appointment will help us future proof our Claims proposition and ensure that we continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
