Allianz Commercial appoints regional manager

Allianz Commercial has appointed Alex Stuart as regional manager of its new trading region in the UK, North West and Scotland. Stuart’s promotion comes as Colin Kennedy, Allianz Commercial’s regional manager for Scotland, unveiled plans to retire from the business on December 31, 2015, after 16 years.  Andrew Broughton, director of broker markets, Allianz Commercial, said: “Colin has been instrumental to the success of our commercial business in Scotland. He’s incredibly well respected in the market and it’s no doubt thanks to his expertise that our team in Scotland has established Allianz as such a large and profitable player in the region.’ Kennedy added: "I have had 16 fantastic years at Allianz. I'm delighted that I was able to come back to Scotland and spend some time in my home market where my Allianz career began. I can't think of anyone better to take over the leadership of Scotland than Alex." In his new role, Stuart will have responsibility for Allianz’s branches in both Scotland and Manchester, which combined will form the company’s new North West and Scotland trading region. He moves into the new role from his current position of regional manager in Manchester. Broughton added: “I’m delighted that Alex will be widening his role to take on this new key position as we create one region in the North West and Scotland. I believe his appointment will ensure continuity within our business as he is well known amongst Scottish brokers and has a great knowledge of the region."
