Allianz appoints new speciality lines underwriting manager

Allianz Insurance has appointed Joe Roberts as the new specialty lines underwriting manager.

Roberts will be responsible for the technical account management of the Allianz commercial speciality lines portfolio, managing the strategic direction and embedding technical underwriting and analytical skills across the company.

He has been with Allianz for 22 years, most recently as the senior account underwriter for all speciality lines (professional indemnity, management liability, accident and health, excess liability) and facility placements. Previously, he held roles such as development underwriter, and was responsible for management of the Allianz Insurance accident & health account.

Stuart Toal, casualty account manager, said: “Joe has a proven track record and has achieved a huge amount during his time at Allianz. I’m delighted to announce his appointment and have no doubt that his experience and knowledge of the business will help to cement our position, and grow our reputation in these important markets.”
