Alliant forms specialty group under president Peter Arkley
California-based Alliant Insurance has combined its portfolio of industry-focused specialty insurance practices under one banner to form Alliant Specialty Group, which will be led by Peter Arkley.
Arkley, the former chairman and CEO of Aon construction services group who joined Alliant in 2011, has been appointed as the president of the new structure.
Alliant Specialty Group's leadership team also include Richard Ferrucci as vice chairman; Jeff Moench and Michael Cusack as co-chief operating officers; and John Ludwig as senior managing director.
The group covers a range of industries and sectors, including public entities, construction, agribusiness, energy and marine, healthcare, and real estate, among others.
The company said that this move is part of its expansion strategy.
"The delivery of customised, industry-focused risk and insurance solutions has been the cornerstone of our organisation for more than 90 years," said Tom Corbett, chairman and CEO of Alliant. "Alliant Specialty Group solidifies our commitment to being the nation’s specialty insurance leader and builds out a solid foundation for future growth."
Arkley commented: "The teams that comprise Alliant Specialty Group will benefit from shared resources and collaboration, enabling us to further enhance our service offerings and expertise.
"Additionally, our group will work in concert with our Alliant Americas, Alliant Employee Benefits, and Alliant Specialty Insurance Services (MGA) divisions to deliver an innovative, full-service platform that covers the entirety of our clients’ insurance, risk management, and consulting needs."
