Acrisure Re looks to BMS to lead expansion into North American market
Acrisure Re, the reinsurance division of global broker Acrisure, has expanded its corporate advisory and solutions division (ARCAS) into North America with a key hire from BMS.
Alex Orloff (pictured) has been appointed managing director of ARCAS North America. Based in New York, he will report to Ben Canagaretna, ARCAS managing director.
Orloff will lead the North American arm of ARCAS, working to build out and manage a team overseeing strategic and ratings advisory, capital raising, legacy transactions and asset management. He will also work closely with ARCAS colleagues in London as well as Acrisure Re colleagues on a variety of mandates and strategic initiatives.
Orloff is an investment specialist in private and public markets with over 25 years of a broad spectrum of experience across the buy-side, the sell-side, investment banking and rating agencies. He joins ARCAS from BMS, where he was director of capital markets analytics for three years. Prior to this, he founded the research company, Sybella Research, which provided investment research services to private issuers and investors in the US insurance industry. Before that, Orloff held senior positions at Twelve Capital, Credit Suisse, and Lazard Asset Management.
