Global insured losses surge to $58bn in H1 2024, protection gap shrinks: Aon

Global economic losses from natural disasters in the first half of 2024 reached $117 billion, with insured losses estimated at $58 billion, resulting in one of the lowest H1 protection gaps on record, broking giant Aon claimed in its latest report.
