Gallagher Re draws C-suite exec from Aon to shape international strategy

Global reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has tapped Aon’s chief of staff to bolster its international leadership team.

Louise Tyler has joined as chief operating officer of Gallagher Re’s international operations. Based in London, she reports to international chief executive officer Dirk Spenner.

Tyler joins from rival broker Aon, where she held the position of chief of staff, reinsurance solutions and more recently strategy and execution lead for global broking – international.

Spenner said: “As we grow our business, our priority is to enhance our operational capabilities globally. Louise’s extensive experience in setting and executing strategy as well as broking operations will be invaluable as we work towards achieving our ambitious growth plans.”

Tyler said: “Gallagher Re has established itself as a highly respected player in the reinsurance market, known for successfully structuring and executing market-leading client solutions and consistently delivering innovative solutions. I am delighted to be joining Dirk and his International Leadership team today.”
