DWF expands in Australia with claims management business acquisition
Global insurance-focused law firm DWF is acquiring an Australian claims management business to bolster its insurance capabilities and presence in the country.
The deal, subject to regulatory approval, is anticipated to expand DWF’s claims management and adjusting (CMA) and widen its insurance capacity in the region, the company said.
DWF has agreed to buy Proclaim, an Australian company with offices in Melbourne and Sydney. The company was founded in 1999 by Jon Broome, who will remain as its managing director and will continue to lead the team post-transaction.
DWF said it plans to invest further in growing its insurance-focused legal teams in Sydney, Melbourne and other key centres.
