Consilium moves into cargo market with ‘broad appetite’ and Gallagher broker
Aventum-owned re/insurance broker Consilium has expanded its specialist offerings in the cargo market, hot on the heels of its recent marine launch, and has recruited a Gallagher senior executive to lead it.
The company claims a “broad cargo appetite” covering general, niche and complex stock throughput risks. The new global cargo stock throughput offering is supported by Lloyd’s and company market capacity.
Jack Cooper (pictured) will join Consilium as senior partner following his notice period from Alesco Risk Management Services where he was most recently executive director. He has over 15 years of technical broking experience. Cooper was previously associate director and head of broking at Gallagher and also has experience as a cargo broker at Lloyd & Partners.
