CCR Re lures back top underwriter from Swiss Re for Asia & Africa push

France-based reinsurer CCR Re has lured back a senior underwriter, who left for Swiss Re a few years ago, to drive its expansion in the Asian and African markets.

Cédric Boureau has rejoined CCR Re as actuary underwriter and will be responsible for underwriting in the regions of Asia and Africa.

He will report to John Conan, director of property and casualty, Asia and Africa.

Boureau spent the last four years at Swiss Re where he was reinsurance senior client treaty underwriter (non-life), covering France, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Before joining Swiss Re, Boureau worked at CCR Re as non-life treaty underwriter during which time he contributed to business development in Asia and South Africa. He also has actuarial experience at AXA Liabilities Managers and KPMG.

Hervé Nessi, head of underwriting, said: “We are delighted that Cédric will be returning to our team.

“His strengthened international experience and in-depth knowledge of the Asian & African markets will help develop our projects within these areas where we have strong ambitions.”
