AJG acquires US retail insurance broker
Broker Arthur J Gallagher (AJG) has acquired retail insurance broker Bomford, Couch & Wilson (BCW). Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. Established in 1904, BCW provides commercial property/casualty, risk management consulting, employee benefits and personal lines insurance services to small and middle-market clients throughout the four corners area of Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas. Jim Couch and his associates will continue to operate under the direction of Jay Eshelman, head of Gallagher's central region retail property/casualty brokerage operations. J Patrick Gallagher, Jr, chairman, president and chief executive officer, AJG, said: “BCW is highly-regarded in the industry for its depth of insurance expertise and its client-based culture that focuses on integrity and superior service. “Their Oklahoma presence, strong market relationships and outstanding client service will be a wonderful complement to our Central Region.
