Aircraft lessor DAE became the market’s third major player to receive a cash insurance settlement for aircraft previously on lease to Russian airline Aeroflot and lost after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, pocketing some $118 million for claims under Aeroflot’s insurance and reinsurance policies on seven aircraft and associated engines.
