JLT Re taps another broker from Guy Carpenter to expand Nordics
Broker JLT Re is expanding its property and casualty (P&C) reinsurance business in the Nordic region with two new hires.
Following the appointment of Anna-Karin Toresson as head last year, Annja Karlsson and Daniel Knös are joining JLT Re’s P&C business for the Nordics to build its broking and analytics capability in the region.
Karlsson joins as a broker from Guy Carpenter, and Knös joins as an actuarial analyst from Länsförsäkringar.
Toresson, who also joined the firm from Guy Carpenter where she served as managing director and head of Nordic treaty, commented: “I am delighted we are building out our capability, with Annja and Daniel make excellent additions to the team.
“Both share the drive and dynamism of the JLT Re culture and will work closely with myself and our Nordic teams in London and Basel and will be based in our Stockholm office. Clients in the region are already enthused by our proposition and growing local capability.”
Keith Harrison, CEO of UK and Europe at JLT Re, said: “JLT Re is committed to providing our Nordic clients with a relevant balance of easy to access specialty capability based predominantly in London combined with on the ground access to key services. We will continue to invest in the region for the long term.”
