Fusion bolsters UK specialty M&A insurance team with new hires
Fusion Specialty, the MGA platform within Pop Group Holdings, has bolstered its mergers and acquisitions (M&A) team in London in a move to boost broker relationships and expand its UK underwriting capability.
The company has hired Alexander Mackay as a partner and Tom Hopkins as an associate for Fusion UK.
Mackay and Hopkins join Samuel Shirley, Fusion managing partner, UK M&A and will both be working closely with Fusion’s London-based team of M&A underwriters.
Mackay joins Fusion after having spent some five years working in M&A insurance with various insurance companies in the London market, including Liberty Mutual Insurance. Most recently, her was an underwriter at CFC. During his time with these companies he was also responsible for developing broker relationships within the London market and across international markets.
Hopkins joins Fusion from a legal background, most recently working with international law firm Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe in its venture capital practice.
