Willis Towers Watson appoints new UK & Ireland leader for insurance consulting and tech business
Broker Willis Towers Watson has appointed Tammy Richardson to take on the role of UK and Ireland leader for life and property and casualty (P&C) in the company’s insurance consulting and technology business.
Richardson most recently served as leader of the UK P&C team within the same business.
At the same time, the company is transferring Stephen Jones from his existing role as UK head of P&C pricing, claims, product and underwriting to Richardson’s former role as UK P&C leader.
Colin Forrest, regional leader for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) in the company’s insurance consulting and technology business, said: “I am delighted to announce that Tammy will be taking on the role of UK and Ireland Leader, with immediate effect. Insurers today must balance a wide range of competing demands and risks, with swiftly changing technological capabilities at centre stage, and Tammy has the business leadership skills, deep industry experience and breadth of knowledge to lead the UK and Ireland team successfully over the coming years as this period of market disruption presents us with ever-evolving opportunities and challenges.”
Richardson said: “I am excited to be taking on this new role at a time when the rate of change for the insurance industry is unlike anything we’ve seen before. This brings with it new challenges, but also many new opportunities – particularly in the space of Artificial Intelligence and automation. I look forward to continuing to work with our talented insurance consulting and technology team to deliver solutions that will help our clients to quickly adapt and transform their operations in order to take advantage of emerging opportunities for profitable growth.”
