Perils ups Dragi-Eberhard loss estimate to almost €800 million
PERILS has updated its loss estimate for extratropical cyclone Dragi-Eberhard with a revised figure of €798 million. This is an increase from the initial loss of €740 million, which was issued by Perils on the 18th of April 2019.
The windstorm hit Britain, and Western and Central Europe on the 9th and 10th of March 2019, with the majority of the losses in Belgium, France and Germany.
A third estimate of the market loss for Dragi-Eberhard will be made available on the 9th of September 2019, six months after the event. Perils said that the loss information in the third set of figures, and any subsequent reports, would be provided by CRESTA Zone and Property lines of business.
