Marsh appoints new leaders for US, Canada energy and power
Broker Marsh has unveiled new leadership in its US and Canada energy and power practice with the appointment of Amy Barnes and Brad Vescarelli.
Barnes has been appointed to the role of US and Canada energy power leader. She moved to Houston from London earlier this year to lead the Marsh JLT integration. Prior to that, she was chief client officer for Marsh UK’s global energy and power business. She joined Marsh in 2002 as an environmental insurance broker.
Vescarelli has joined Marsh as energy and power leader for Canada, based in Calgary, Alberta Canada. He joins Marsh from CES Energy Solutions where he served as legal and HR director, with responsibility for the company’s risk management and insurance programme. Prior to that, he spent seven years at Marsh Canada serving as an energy broker and client executive.
Barnes will report to Pat Donnelly, head of US and Canada at Marsh JLT Specialty, and Andrew George, global head of energy and power.
Vescarelli will report to David Richards, head of Marsh JLT Specialty in Canada, and Barnes.
Martin South, president of Marsh US and Canada, said: “Today’s energy and power companies face significant and wide-ranging risks and require an insurance broker that can help navigate the challenges impacting their operational and financial success. Marsh is committed to delivering superior transactional and advisory services to the US and Canada energy and power market, and under the leadership of Amy and Brad, we will enhance our ability to do so.”
