Lloyd’s insurer Apollo plucks new group CFO from Bupa

Apollo Syndicate Management, an independent specialist insurer and reinsurer at Lloyd’s, has hired its new group chief financial officer (CFO) from Bupa.

Taryn McHarg’s (pictured) appointment as Apollo group CFO is subject to regulatory approval.

McHarg will help the insurer build on its recent growth and to further develop the financial strategy of the group through collaboration with capital partners, investors, and wider stakeholders.

She joins from Bupa, where she was most recently CFO for international markets, leading global strategic change and transformation. Previous roles include head of internal audit for Australia and New Zealand at Bupa and executive director at EY, where she was responsible for financial services audit and advisory clients.
